Greg Barker has worked with activities and ASB since 1992, with 12 years in Marysville School District, two years at Auburn Riverside High, and the last 12 in the Snohomish School District. He has worked as leadership teacher, activities coordinator, building athletic director, and as assistant principal working with activities. In that time, he has also served as the chairperson for AWSP’s high school leadership committee for nine years and as a camp director for Mount Triumph for 16 years.
He has taught ASB law and finance for the past 18 years through the AWSP workshops. Greg earned his principal certification and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies through the UW-Seattle’s Danforth Leadership Program. He is excited to make passion for leadership as his full-time career choice.
Greg and his wife, Shelley, both attended WWU for their bachelors. Their daughter, Kate, graduated spring 2018 and their oldest son, Matt, will begin at WWU in the fall of 2018. Their youngest, Jake, works for Boeing. They love to travel and spend time on Whidbey Island.
