iGrow WA Summit: An AWSP Leaders of Color Network Event

Join us for a powerful day grounded in connection, reflection, and leadership rooted in educational wealth. This isn’t your typical professional development. It’s an experience designed to inspire and equip you as a learning leader committed to culture, systems, and student-centered learning. This year’s theme is, “We Are What Our Ancestors Imagined.” We’ll connect ancestral strength and sacrifice to the leadership decisions shaping today’s schools and tomorrow’s generations.
Throughout the day, you’ll engage with dynamic breakout sessions, hear from inspiring keynote speakers, witness incredible student performances, and connect with colleagues during a networking lunch mixer. Together, we’ll elevate our leadership and renew our collective commitment to every student’s success.

Call for Presenters
AWSP is seeking Leaders of Color to lead breakout sessions at the iGrow WA Summit 2027. Your voice, experience, and expertise are essential to our work to grow, support, and sustain educational Leaders of Color across Washington state.
We invite proposals that address the experiences of Leaders of Color and offer practical resources and strategies participants can use in their leadership. Suggested topics include:
- Leading as a principal or assistant principal
- Transitioning into leadership and advancing your career
- Navigating identity, bias, and belonging in educational leadership
- Student discipline best practices
- Building effective master schedules
- Work-life balance and sustaining yourself as a leader
- Teacher evaluation and supporting strong instructional practices
Have another topic that would benefit Leaders of Color? We welcome your ideas! Please complete the Call for Presenters proposal form by Thursday, January 7, 2027. Presenters should be prepared to facilitate a session lasting at least 60 minutes.
