Grade-Level Leadership Committees

gllc website banner 3

Washington’s school leaders do their best work when they’re connected—to one another and to a strong statewide network. AWSP’s Grade-Level Leadership Committees bring together practicing principals and assistant principals from across the state to represent the distinct needs of elementary, middle level, and high school leaders.

Committee members share what they’re seeing in schools, exchange ideas, strengthen regional connections, and help AWSP respond with relevant support, professional learning, and advocacy. Committee leaders also serve on the AWSP Board, ensuring each grade level has a voice in the association’s direction.

The Committees

Elementary

The Elementary Leadership Committee represents principals and assistant principals leading Washington’s elementary schools. Members bring forward the opportunities and challenges unique to the early years—from building strong foundations for learning and belonging to partnering with staff, students, and families. Their insights help AWSP shape support that reflects the realities of elementary school leadership.

Roster

Middle

The Middle Level Leadership Committee represents principals and assistant principals serving students during a pivotal stage of growth and change. Members elevate the needs of middle schools and junior highs, share effective practices, and strengthen connections among leaders across the state. Their perspective helps AWSP support student learning, belonging, and engagement throughout the middle-level years.

Roster

High

The High School Leadership Committee represents principals and assistant principals leading Washington’s high schools. Members bring a statewide perspective to the complex work of building strong school communities, supporting students through graduation and preparing them for what comes next. Their insights help AWSP deliver relevant support and advocate for high school leaders and students.
