As you race toward the finish line of another school year, we want to pause and simply say thank you.
Your leadership has made an immeasurable difference in the lives of students, staff, families, and entire school communities. Every day, through countless decisions, conversations, challenges, and celebrations, you have shown up with courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to serving others.
As school leaders, it can be easy to focus on what still needs to be done. But before you turn the page to the next school year, take a moment to reflect on all that has been accomplished because of your leadership. The opportunities created, the barriers removed, the lives changed, and the hope inspired are all part of your legacy this year.
Never underestimate the power and influence of your leadership. You are often the steady voice in uncertain moments, the advocate when others need support, and the beacon of hope who helps students and staff believe in what is possible. Simply put, the important work happening in schools every day would not happen without leaders like you.
As summer approaches, we want to offer a challenge: make yourself a priority. Rest. Recharge. Reconnect with the people, places, and passions that fill your cup. Give yourself permission to step away, reflect, and renew. The work you do is demanding, and your well-being matters. Your students, staff, and communities need you at your best, and that begins with caring for yourself.
As you look ahead to the 2026–27 school year, know that you will not be walking this journey alone. AWSP stands ready to support you however, wherever, and whenever you need us.
