Member Engagement Month 2026: Connect with Us This February!

February 2, 2026
Member Engagement Month 2025

As we step into February, we’re excited to once again kick off Member Engagement Month—a dedicated time to connect, elevate your voices, and explore new opportunities to shape the future of school leadership across Washington. This month-long campaign is all about strengthening our AWSP community and ensuring that every principal and assistant principal has the resources, support, and platform to make a lasting impact.

At AWSP, we believe that engaged school leaders drive real change. Your passion, dedication, and leadership are what make our association strong. That’s why we’re rolling out weekly emails, blog posts, and interactive opportunities to help you make the most of your membership. Whether it’s diving into new resources, sharing insights, or joining key conversations, this month is designed to amplify your influence.

What to Expect This Month:

1. Weekly Action Items

Each Wednesday this month, expect an AWSP email detailing two or three action steps you can take right away to become more involved with AWSP. These action items will include things like:

We’ll also highlight several member benefits that come with being a part of the AWSP family. From professional development and resources to legal benefits and additional leadership roles, we want to make sure you know about all AWSP membership has to offer.

2. An Invitation to Our Winter Advocacy Form on Feb. 19

You won’t want to miss our next quarterly Winter Forum on Feb. 19 from 3:30 – 5 p.m. Our Forums are a member benefit and clock hours are available. There is no cost to participate! The winter Forum is focused on advocacy. You’ll hear from Roz Thompson, AWSP Director of Advocacy and Government Relations, and Susan Lathrop, Chief Education Officer at OSPI. We’ll also dive into breakout rooms organized by grade level. Learn more and register anytime.

Planning ahead? Save the date for our Spring Forum, May 5 from 3:30-5:00 p.m.! Special thanks to our Forum sponsor, Renaissance Learning.

3. Weekly Social Media Prompts and a Chance to Win AWSP’s School Leader Planning Guide

We LOVE hearing from our members! This Member Engagement Month, keep an eye on AWSP’s Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn pages for weekly prompts asking you about your experiences as a school leader. Each week we will choose several winners to receive a copy of AWSP’s School Leader Planning Guide.
