Professional Learning

AWSP Online Learning

Live, On-Demand, and Online

We know principals across the state have very different access to professional learning. If you're along the I-5 corridor in the Puget Sound, you have way more options than in rural parts of southeast Washington. Budgets for professional learning, support for being out of the building...all those things impact a principal's ability to access resources and improve. As much as we'd love to get to every corner of the state, that's not sustainable either. And this was all before a pandemic and every educator and parent knew what synchronous and asynchronous learning meant.

Our learning management system is designed to bring our content to wherever you are, on your time, and with or without your team. Some courses are designed to be watched with a team, where we provide resources and guiding questions to help make them interactive. Others are just for you for learning on your own time. The best part is, thanks to grants and contracts with OSPI, we have tons of FREE content.

Path LMS

Canvas, Blackboard...nope, these aren't just objects anymore, they're LMSes. Prior to the pandemic, Learning Management Systems weren't an acronym we all knew. At AWSP, our LMS is called Path, and it's made specifically for associations and professional trade organizations (that's us). So if you hear us refer to Path, or our LMS, you'll know what we're talking about. You can always find it online at pathlms.com/awsp.

Accessing Path

When we launched Path for the 2020 Summer Conference, we used Path's account system. Everyone logged in with their email and a password we assigned to get people in the door. Since then, we changed how you sign in to Path. Now, you'll use your AWSP account to sign in.* This means one fewer login/account to create or manage, and if you're already signed into the AWSP website or portal, you'll be signed into Path automatically.

*You do not need to be a member to have an AWSP account.

With an Account

To login to Path, you'll need a free AWSP account, which is not the same as a membership. AWSP members should automatically have an account, and by default, you'll login with your work email address. If you aren't a member, you can create an account for free.

Without an Account

Many of our courses and events are free and guest accessible thanks to grants and contracts. For these events, you don't need an AWSP account. Just navigate to Path, find your course, and you're good to go. However, if you're taking a course without an account, you won't be able to save or track your progress, earn certificates, etc.
