Race & Equity Leadership Institute

A Building Effective Leadership Series

Race & Equity Leadership Institute

About the Series

If you’re not leading for equity, you’re not leading! AWSP and the Technology Access Foundation are partnering to bring you the Race and Equity Leadership Institute as a part of our Building Effective Leadership series. Leading inclusive schools—where all students are afforded opportunities to achieve—requires an understanding of the intersections of race, power, and privilege. It calls for leaders to build their capacity and have the courage to engage in thoughtful conversation and action in the school and community.

Combined with seven in-person sessions, participants will engage in five affinity group sessions that will be completed virtually. Upon completion, attendees will be ready to engage in and lead in creating equitable and inclusive schools that create opportunities for all students to succeed.
