An expert in the area of “attitude transformation,” Principal Kafele is the leading authority on providing effective classroom and school leadership strategies toward closing what he coined, the "Attitude Gap.”

In addition to writing several professional articles for popular education journals, he has authored twelve books, including Motivating Black Males to Achieve in School & in Life, Closing the Attitude Gap, Is My School a Better School BECAUSE I Lead It?, The Assistant Principal 50 and The Equity and Social Justice Education 50.

Session 1 | January 12

Session 2 | January 26

  • Assistant Principal PLC: how to create one, what to do with it and how to keep it going!
  • Special Guests: Jake Tyrrell, Laura Conklin and Dr. Marco Viniegra, Olympia HS

Session 3 | February 9

  • Multi-player game: Strengthen your principal/AP team
  • Special guests Jobie Flint (2021 assistant principal of the year) and principal Andrew Cain. (You are encouraged to bring your lead principal with you to this session at no extra charge.)

Session 4 | February 23

  • Keynote presentation by Principal Baruti Kafele
  • Principal Kafele is the leading authority for providing effective classroom and school leadership strategies toward closing what he coined, the "Attitude Gap.”
